You can cut me down,
You can count my rings.
So you can see how long,
You can number the years.
My glowing sun, the calm of my storm.
The swelling wave to drag me under,
But I will come after you.
Better grab your arrows,
Better grab your bow.
Better row faster,
Better snuff the fire out.
Am I still sleeping?
Am I talking back?
Is it you swimming alone in my head?
I'm clinging to driftwood,
The water is black and calm
Silvery mirrors I bend
I'm sorry I lost my grip.
I'm so blurry the stars are whirring again.
Better grab your arrows,
Better grab your bow.
Better row faster,
Better snuff it out.
Better grab your arrows,
Better grab your bow.
Better row faster,
Better snuff it out.
Better grab your arrows,
Better grab your bow.
Better row faster,
I'll come after you.

I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250
